These electrodes share many benefits with created electrodes and closely resemble the conductivity characteristics of 2% thoriated tungsten, which means you can use them without significant welding program changes.

        Lanthanated tungsten electrodes are an ideal choice for welding optimization as they work well with AC or DC electrode negative, regardless of whether you prefer a pointed or balled end. The evenly dispersed lanthana throughout the electrode's length ensures a sharp point, making them suitable for steel and stainless steel welding with DC or AC from square-wave power sources. These electrodes are AC-friendly and allow for lower voltage arc starting and maintenance, compared to thoriated tungsten.

        The addition of 2.00% lanthana to these electrodes increases their maximum carrying capacity by approximately 50%, outperforming pure tungsten.
